Sus: An Urban Sustainability Explorer for Montreal

The online platform, designed to make sustainability data more accessible, is now live.

A research project under the 成人VR视频 Sustainability Systems Initiative's Adapting Urban Environments research theme reached a significant milestone with the public launch of designed to make sustainability data more accessible and encourage greater reflection on urban sustainability challenges.

Research theme co-leads Profs. Andrew Gonzalez, Kevin Manaugh and David Wachsmuth, with the assistance of the project鈥檚 senior designer, Maxime Blanger de Blois, delivered presentations in English and French outlining how they sought to mobilize the knowledge needed to make cities more socially inclusive and less environmentally impactful, while improving the well-being of residents.

They also led an interactive demonstration of the dashboard for audience members, both in person and virtually through Zoom breakout rooms. This gave participants the opportunity to explore the breadth of information available on the platform, ask specific questions about sustainability issues in the Montreal region, and get a firsthand look at how Sus can help policymakers and communities model urban sustainability solutions that make sense for their local realities.
