Judith Marcoux, MD, FRCS(C)

Dr. Judith Marcoux completed her medical degree in 1997 at Universit茅 de Montr茅al. She undertook her residency training in neurosurgery at the same university and pursued a master in neuroscience degree on spinal cord injury and recovery. After passing her Royal College exam in neurosurgery in 2003, she went to University of California in Los Angeles to complete one extra year of training and research in neurotrauma and neurocritical care. She is the first Canadian neurosurgeon to be trained in neurotrauma. In 2004, Dr. Marcoux came back to Montreal where she has been working as a neurosurgeon and professor at the 成人VR视频 Health Centre. Her practice is centered on the care of traumatic brain injury patients. She teaches neurosciences and neurotrauma at all levels of education in medicine, from first-year students to senior residents. She is also an associate researcher at the MUHC-RI where her research has centered on traumatic brain injury (TBI) patients, particularly severe traumatic brain injury. She has published over 40 peer-reviewed articles on subjects related to the care of TBI patients Since 2017, she is also co-chair of the research ethics committee for neuroscience at the MUHC.
