Alexey Kostikov, PhD
Associate Professor
Alexey Kostikov received his聽M.Sc. degree in Chemistry from the Saint-Petersburg State University (Russia) in 2001 and completed his聽PhD聽in Chemistry at the University of Georgia (US) in 2007. After his聽first postdoctoral appointment at Syracuse University (US), he聽joined the Montreal Neurological Institute in 2009 as a Research Associate and later became an Assistant Professor of radiochemistry. His聽current research projects are focused on the聽development of novel positron emission tomography (PET) radiotracers for in vivo imaging of unexplored neurological biomarkers and聽improving the efficiency of radiolabeling procedures. Kostikov uses a microPET camera for carrying out pre-clinical imaging and in 2017 was appointed director of the microPET unit. He聽is聽also heavily involved in day-to-day operations of the PET/cyclotron core facility that is offering an extensive library of PET radiotracers to聽the neuroscience research聽community at 成人VR视频 and across the province of Quebec.
