For the first time, students from ��VR��Ƶ’s Ingram School of Nursing represented the Vascular Access Student Club (VASC) at the World Congress on Vascular Access (WoCoVA) - one of the leading conferences in vascular access and infusion therapy. The 9th edition was held in Valencia, Spain, from April 15 to 17, 2026. That they submitted abstracts to an international conference speaks to their level of confidence; that they were accepted speaks to the quality of their work. Caroline Marchionni wins national excellence award for vascular access education and management

On May 21, 2026, Ingram School of Nursing Assistant Professor Caroline Marchionni received the CVAA/BD National Excellence in Vascular Access Management & Infusion Therapy Award. Professor Marchionni, RN, MSc Admin, MSc(A)-N, was lauded for leading innovation in vascular access education by transforming the undergraduate curriculum to embed evidence-based VAIN (vascular access and infusion nursing).

A record number of 13 faculty and three students from the Ingram School of Nursing (ISoN) actively participated in the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing (CASN) biennial conference held May 31-June 2 in Mississauga, Ontario. From clinical reasoning to shadow art-based advocacy to remote access to nursing education to the closing keynote address by Faculty Lecturer Anne-Laurie Beaubrun, our team presented unique pedagogical strategies under the conference theme of Rising to Responsibility: Educating the Nurses for the Future.

Visits to clinical sites pay big dividends

Building strong relationships with clinical partners continues to be a key priority for the Ingram School of Nursing’s Clinical Partnership Office (CPO). In May and June, CPO academic associates alongside ISoN senior leadership and faculty visited four clinical sites across the ��VR��Ƶ network: Catherine Booth, Mount Sinai and Julius Richardson hospitals, affiliated with the CIUSSS Centre-ouest de l’Île de Montréal, as well as the Montreal Children’s Hospital, part of the ��VR��Ƶ Health Centre.

Last fall, Sylvie Lambert, RN, PhD, was honoured with the Prix de cancérologie du Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux (MSSS) for her outstanding contributions to cancer care research and patient-centred interventions. A Canada Research Chair (Tier 2), Associate Professor, and Associate Director – Research at the Ingram School of Nursing, Lambert is a principal researcher at St. Mary’s Hospital Research Centre. Her research continues to advance supportive care and timely symptom management while improving the experience and quality of life of people living with cancer.
