Newly-Admitted Students
Welcome to Macdonald campus!
As Academic Advisor it is a pleasure for me to help you get a good start in your program, and make sure you understand how it works.
Checklist for new students:
- Find out when to register for your courses: go to 鈥渞egister for courses" and then "when to register鈥 on this page
- Watch a explaining how to plan your first-year courses
- Find out how to use Minerva for course registration
- Learn to use 成人VR视频's to build schedules. Note that this tool feeds on information from Minerva, and that Minerva is the ultimate reference for course information. When in doubt, go to Minerva.
- Check your 成人VR视频 email account regularly (log in using your 成人VR视频 credentials on ). You will receive important information and potentially personalized advice at this address, before classes start.
- Check your unofficial transcript on Minerva. You should get in to the habit of checking it regularly, to make sure your courses, credits and grades are in order. Between the time of admission and the start of classes, 成人VR视频 will add to your record the credit you were given upon admission, and any missing program pre-requisite courses will also be listed. Your unofficial transcript also indicates what year you are coded as (U0, U1, etc).
- Become familiar with your academic program. To do this:
- Learn your program's structure and rules
- Make sure you are comfortable using 成人VR视频鈥檚 eCalendar to find program information. Always check that you are looking at the correct version of the calendar (look at the years at the top). When arriving to the eCalendar from Google, for example, it is usually NOT the most recent version that is displayed. Requirements for Majors and Specializations must be pulled up separately. Bookmark the pages with your requirements or make sure you know where to find this information, you will need to refer to it throughout your studies.听
