Biography: 

Dr. Annette Majnemer is an occupational therapist with doctoral training in the neurosciences. She is a Professor at 成人VR视频 and was the Director of the School of Physical & Occupational Therapy (2010-2016) and more recently, the inaugural Vice-Dean Education (2016-2022) for the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, 成人VR视频. Dr. Majnemer is a Senior Scientist at the Research Institute - 成人VR视频 Health Centre, and a member of Montreal鈥檚 Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Rehabilitation (CRIR). Her research focuses on early identification strategies for children at high-risk for developmental disability, and intrinsic and extrinsic factors that influence outcomes. She leads a pan-Canadian CHILD-BRIGHT, a CIHR SPOR Network with patient-oriented research focused on children with brain-based disabilities and their families. Dr. Majnemer collaborates extensively with medical specialists and other health professionals in the Department of Pediatrics, who collectively greatly enrich her research efforts.

  • Muriel Driver Memorial Lectureship Award, Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists, for outstanding contributions to the profession. Lecture delivered at 2010 meeting, May, Halifax, 2009
  • Nominated member of the American Occupational Therapy Foundation (AOTF) Academy of Research, for outstanding contributions through research to the advancement of knowledge in occupational therapy. This is the highest honor that AOTF confers, 2012
