Biography:

After completing medical school at the Université de Montréal, Dr. Wadi Mawad completed three years of general pediatrics training at the Université Laval followed by three years of pediatric cardiology in the CHU Sainte-Justine. He completed a three-year fellowship in non-invasive cardiac imaging at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto gaining expertise in pediatric echocardiography, fetal cardiology and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging. Dr. Ѳɲ’s research interest is the study of cardiac blood flow dynamics in congenital heart disease using ultrasound and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging. He feels greatly privileged to be part of this exceptional team at the Montreal Children’s Hospital as patients can be followed from fetal life to old age.

Areas of expertise:
  • Non-invasive cardiac imaging including
  • Fetal and trans-thoracic electrocardiography
  • Cardiac magnetic resonance imaging
Areas of interest:
  • Intra cardiac blood flow dynamics
  • Three-dimensional printing
  • Fetal arrhythmia
  • Cardio-oncology
