Keynote lecture: "Reconnecting brain serotonin networks for recovery from anxiety and depression"

Moving from receptor to transcription factors to mental illness, this talk will provide an overview of key regulators of serotonin implicated in anxiety and depression and their treatment. The potential of novel mechanisms of brain stimulation and neuroplasticity for recovery when traditional antidepressant drugs are ineffective is discussed.
