The Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) recently unveiled the recipients of its October 2019 Insights Grant competition where they awarded $91 million in funding to more than 1,253 researchers from 60 different Canadian institutions. Among the recipients are 38 成人VR视频-led projects, totalling $17.8 million.
The Insight Grants support research excellence in the social sciences and humanities. Funding is available to both emerging and established scholars for research initiatives of two to five years. Stable support for long-term research initiatives is central to advancing knowledge. It enables scholars to address complex issues about individuals and societies, and to further our collective understanding.
The grants offer a funding boost to social sciences and humanities researchers at 成人VR视频 to investigate a wide range of topics related to individuals and society, from studying the role of social technologies in online review platforms to interpreting children鈥檚 music by Robert Schumann.
Among 成人VR视频鈥檚 38 Insight Grant recipients,聽Allison Christians, Full Professor and Associate Dean of Research at the Faculty of Law, will use a $400,000 grant to further her research on designing a sustainable global tax system.
笔谤辞蹿别蝉蝉辞谤听Oliver Coomes聽of the Department of Geography was awarded a $396,820 Insight grant to explore the rural lifeways, well-being, and environmental change among forest peoples of western Amazonia.
Also among 成人VR视频鈥檚 Insight Grant recipients is聽S茅bastien Jodoin, Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Law and Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Human Rights and the Environment, who received $389,640 to study disability rights and climate adaptation in low and middle income countries, using insights from India.聽
