I am a second-year student enrolled in the Honours Anatomy and Cell Biology program, expecting to graduate in 2021. Receiving a Faculty of Science Scholarship in recognition of my academic achievements makes a big difference to me. Last year, I took on several freelance jobs in order to save up for rent, as I needed to stay in Montreal during the summer while I volunteered at a computer science lab. Having to work 7-8 hours per day while maintaining a high academic standing was extremely taxing. Receiving this scholarship means I will be able to spend less time working and more time studying (which I enjoy much more).
