Call for Research Blitzers

You have heard of speed dating ...this will be speed data-ing. An opportunity to hear a little bit about the many research projects and activities that are happening in SCSD to help you find the ones that you would like to get to know better. Each presentation will be short 鈥 4 minutes (timing strictly enforced). You can do it with or - if you are brave - without power point.

As a presenter you should not aim to provide a detailed report on your project. This is format is more like 鈥渟how and tell鈥 or providing a 鈥渞esearch Infomercial鈥; give us 鈥渢he broad stroke鈥. Tell us what you are working on and why. Have fun... be creative鈥e entertaining鈥how us what makes your project interesting and important, why it piques your curiosity, where you hope it might lead. Feel free to advertise for collaborators, subjects, research assistants, or volunteers.

You are welcome to share research that is completed, in progress, or still in the planning stage. This could include 1st year projects, summer bursary projects, thesis or dissertation work, collaborative studies, interesting clinical cases or clinical activities, etc.

To participate in the Research Blitz, email your name to linda.polka [at] mcgill.ca (by Thursday Nov 8); put 鈥淏litz鈥 in the subject line

Heads up to clinical students: Some faculty may propose ideas for summer research bursary projects.
