鈥淩eport calls for better oversight of residential services for young people in Ontario鈥�
The Ontario Ministry of Children and Youth Services has released 鈥滲ecause Young People Matter, a review of Ontario鈥檚 residential services for children and youth鈥�. 听听A three member expert panel -- Dr. Nico Trocm茅, Director of the 成人VR视频 School of Social Work, Dr. Kiaras Gharabaghi, Director of the School of Child and Youth Care at Ryerson University, and Deborah Newman, former Deputy Minister in the Ontario Public Service 鈥� met with young people living in out of home care, parents, foster parents, service providers and independent experts from across Ontario.听 While recognizing the strengths on Ontario鈥檚 decentralized diverse network of 600 organizations providing foster, group, treatment and custody services, the report calls on the government to stregthen its oversight of the quality of care.听
