SPGH Research and Public Health Day 2026: Strengthening Public Health Communication and Reducing Polarization

This interdisciplinary event brings together students from across programs to network, learn from presentations, and share research from diverse and unique perspectives. We will have oral and poster presentations from SPGH graduate students, as well as a poster fair showcasing the MScPH program practicum projects.

This event will also feature an exciting keynote address by聽Aengus Bridgman,聽Director of the Media Ecosystem Observatory, Director of the Canadian Digital Media Research Network, and Assistant Professor (Research) at 成人VR视频's Max Bell School of Public Policy. The keynote lecture will聽focus on strengthening public health communication in the current age of polarization.

Registration will close at 11:59pm on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. You MUST register to attend the event.

Aengus Bridgman

Aengus Bridgman's research focuses on understanding and strengthening the health of information environments, examining how misinformation spreads, how it affects public understanding and trust, and what research-informed interventions can build resilience against it. During the COVID-19 pandemic, his team documented how exposure to different media environments shaped health beliefs and behaviours.
