Tatiana Ogourtsova, PhD, named William Dawson Scholar

The School of Physical and Occupational Therapy, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences is pleased to announce that Assistant Professor, Tatiana Ogourtsova, has been named a William Dawson Scholar.

The William Dawson Scholar award recognizes scholars at 成人VR视频 who are developing into outstanding and original researchers of world-class caliber and who are poised to become a leader in their field. The award is given for a five-year term.

Professor Tatiana Ogourtsova, who joined the School of Physical and Occupational Therapy as an Assistant Professor in August 2025, leads a research program focused on improving outcomes for children with brain-based developmental disabilities (BBDD) and their families. Her work aims to optimize and standardize evidence-based telerehabilitation services, ensuring greater access to high-quality care. In parallel, she develops and evaluates interventions to support the mental health of children with BBDD and their families, particularly during the critical transition into adolescence.

A hallmark of Professor Ogourtsova鈥檚 research is its strong commitment to patient-oriented research approaches. Patients, families, and clinical partners are actively and authentically engaged as members of the research team, helping to shape all stages of her work. Her broader expertise spans rehabilitation and neurorehabilitation, health coaching, visual perception, virtual reality, and knowledge translation, all grounded in advancing evidence-based practices.
