Current research:

The overall goal of Prof. Belchior’s current research is to promote aging well in the community, particularly for older adults living with neurocognitive disorders and their family members. To achieve this goal, she has been working on different interrelated topics: the development of occupational-based programs in the community, the use of technology to promote aging in place, and the impact of age-stigma on the care of older adults. She is also interested to collaborate with occupational therapy practitioners to better understand potential barriers and facilitators of care provision. She has a growing interest in participatory research approach to better align her research interests to what really matters to the community.

Research Keywords:
aging, cognition, technology, community-based programs
