Overview
Music History and Literature : Development of solo song in the twelfth century: troubadour, trouv猫re, and Minnesang, devotional songs, the Burgundian chanson, Elizabethan lute songs, air de cour, Italian and English continuo songs, the German Lied in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. Stylistic features, poetic and musical forms, and performance practice.
