脡conomie (Arts) : A survey of the role of government in the economy (excluding the macroeconomic side - stabilization, etc.). Topics include markets and market failure; public goods; externalities; the theory of the second-best and the study of collective choice, including voting; and the collection of revenue to finance government activity, including optimal taxation of commodities and income.
