Overview

Civil Engineering : Review of wood material properties, grades, and design of sawn lumber and timber tension, bending and compression members. Design of connections. Glulam, engineered wood products and systems, shearwalls and diaphragms. Combined loading design, vibration design, moisture and humidity effects, deterioration and protection, fire performance, prescriptive design versus engineering design.

Terms: This course is not scheduled for the 2020-2021 academic year.
