Historique : This seminar explores what it meant to be native, black, or white in Latin America from the colonial period to the present. It explores how conceptualisations of race and ethnicity shaped colonialism, social organisation, opportunities for mobility, visions of nationhood, and social movements.

Restriction: Open only to newly admitted students in U0 or U1, who may take only one FYS. Students who register for more than one will be obliged to withdraw from all but one of them.
