Program Requirements
Ce certificat a 茅t茅 con莽u pour permettre aux 茅tudiants d'acqu茅rir, tant 脿 l'oral qu'脿 l'茅crit, les connaissances, les techniques et le savoir-faire dont ils ont besoin pour 茅voluer avec aisance dans un milieu professionnel anglophone.
Le programme est constitu茅 de dix cours assortis de 3 unit茅s chacun; il 茅quivaut donc 脿 une ann茅e d'茅tudes universitaires 脿 temps plein. Il commence au niveau interm茅diaire bas (cours CEEN 211 et CEEN 212). Les 茅tudiants de niveau d茅butant ou 茅l茅mentaire en anglais doivent suivre un ou des cours pr茅alables non assortis d鈥檜nit茅s avant de pouvoir 锚tre admis au programme. La structure du programme se divise en deux parties :
1) Le module z茅ro unit茅s comprend trois cours pr茅alables : un cours de niveau d茅butant et deux cours de niveau 茅l茅mentaire, d鈥檜ne dur茅e de 60 heures chacun.
2) Le module z茅ro unit茅s est compos茅 de dix cours de 39 heures, assorti de 3 unit茅s chacun. Il s'agit des cours de niveau 200, 300 et 400.
Le programme est offert trois fois par ann茅e. 脌 l'automne et 脿 l'hiver, le module non assorti d'unit茅s dure 12 semaines et le module z茅ro unit茅s, 13 semaines. Au printemps, les deux modules durent 9 semaines. Les cours sont offerts le soir durant la semaine et le samedi matin.
Les 茅tudiants inscrits dans un cours assorti ou z茅ro unit茅s ont un acc猫s exclusif, sur l鈥檌nterface WebCT/Vista, 脿 du mat茅riel p茅dagogique en ligne leur donnant la possibilit茅 de participer 脿 des projets virtuels ou de renforcer, en dehors de la classe, leur apprentissage de la langue 脿 leur propre rythme. Les outils de communication int茅gr茅s 脿 myCourses aident 脿 consolider davantage l鈥檃ppui p茅dagogique du charg茅 de cours.

Students will develop discursive and pragmatic competence in oral and written communication as well as learn about factors that influence group communication in professional and social situations. / Ce cours pr茅parera les 茅tudiants en anglais langue seconde (ESL) ou 茅trang猫re (EFL) 脿 茅laborer des types pr茅cis de communication strat茅gique au sein d'entreprises et lors d'茅changes interpersonnels au travail.
