NUR2 209 Human Physiology for Health Care 1 (3 credits)

Overview

Nursing : The study of human physiology including healthy functioning of different organ systems such as immunological, hematological, and neurological. Exploration of some updates and advanced topics in the field of human physiology such as epigenetics, differences between stem cells and artificial cells and discrete specific immune responses. Emphasis will be on linking understanding of these concepts to maintain, promote and enhance overall health and well-being.

Terms: This course is not scheduled for the 2024-2025 academic year.

  • Restrictions: Open to students in U3 of an undergraduate degree, students who have completed an undergraduate degree or to students who have special permission of the instructor.

  • Prerequisites: BIOL 111, BIOL 112 CHEM 110, CHEM 120, CHEM 212 (or equivalents)
