What Canadian parasite is this? The shape of the testes (red) and the position of the vitellaria (lateral smudges) should help you. It can produce a hepatitis and pancreatitis.

Diagnosis:

This is Metorchis conjunctus an Opisthorchid, as is OpistorchisÌý²¹²Ô»åÌý°ä±ô´Ç²Ô´Ç°ù³¦³ó¾±²õ. Infection is acquired by eating an uncooked fish, the common sucker Catostomus commersoni,  and has been found to infect aboriginal communities from Saskatchewan to Quebec. (ref. Lancet 1996)
