Overview

The Minor Concentration in Religion and Globalization offers you a comparative and historical exploration of religions across the world. You’ll explore how religions are shaping — and are shaped by — the social, political, and economic dynamics of globalization, modernization, secularization, and postcolonialism.  
 
Choose from a range of classes according to your interests. Explore the links between religion and the performing arts, cinema or poetry. You can also study the intersection of religion and different subjects like gender, sexuality, human rights or politics.


Careers

The Religion and Globalization Minor will allow you to broaden your perspective, develop cultural sensitivity, and strengthen your critical thinking and research skills. These are all universally useful life and career skills. Depending on your primary field of study, you could go on to pursue a range of different careers. You may also choose to pursue graduate studies in the field.
