Research in Progress Seminar Series
The Research in Progress seminar series gives graduate students an opportunity to present their on-going work in an informal setting and provides them with a platform to exchange ideas and discuss science. It is听苍辞迟听a platform where students are evaluated, however, audience members are welcome to provide informal feedback.. MSc 2+ and PhD 5+ students are excluded from this schedule to allow newly admitted students to present.听
The Research in Progress seminar series is compulsory for graduate students. It is open to all members of the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology including faculty, academic staff, post-docs, graduate students, and selected undergraduate students.听 The PIs and mentors of the students presenting are highly encouraged to attend the seminars. Other PIs are also encouraged to attend the seminar series as it is a way to show the students that their contribution to research is valued.
Material presented at Research in Progress and PhD seminars that is unpublished should not be reproduced in any form. It should be treated as personal communications and should be cited as such only with the consent of the author(s). Please note that photography or video/audio recording of oral presentations is strictly prohibited except with the advance permission of the author(s). Any discussion via social media platforms of material presented during Research in Progress or PhD seminars requires explicit permission from the presenting author(s).
The schedule can be viewed on the Seminars page. If a student has a scheduling conflict and is unavailable to present or chair on the scheduled date, it is their responsibility to switch dates with another student and then inform the gradstudentaffairs.acb [at] mcgill.ca (GPC.)听
