Academic programs

Prospective students must apply through the Department of Experimental Medicine to pursue in cancer prevention. Opportunities are available in laboratory, epidemiological and behavioural aspects of cancer prevention. Appointed Co-Editor-in-Chief of Cancer Prevention Research - AACR Journal

The聽American Association for Cancer Research (AACR)聽has appointed Dr. Pollak as Co-Editor-in-Chief聽of Cancer Prevention Research, an international journal published by AACR, effective January 1, 2019.

O. Harold Warwick Prize by the Canadian Cancer Society

Consecutive national recognition of work in cancer genetics and prevention at 成人VR视频 and the Jewish General Hospital! Dr. Michael Pollak was awarded the prestigious O. Harold Warwick Prize by the Canadian Cancer Society in 2012 and Dr. William Foulkes received it in 2013. This prize is given to "A scientist whose research has had a major impact on cancer control". Nominations are received from across Canada, so we are proud that two of our senior clinician scientists with neighboring offices in the same institution captured the award two years in a row, reflecting national recognition of our research work.
