The Faculty of Law is pleased to announce that the jury of the Principal鈥檚 Prize for Public Engagement through Media has selected Dean Robert Leckey as the inaugural winner of its Change-Maker Prize. This award, for which one cannot apply, will be awarded exceptionally to an individual who is a role model and whose engagement with the public and the media has effected important social changes.

The Centre for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism is pleased to announce the addition of a new opportunity to the International Judicial Clerkship Program.
Established in 2019 by the Honourable Morris J. Fish, former justice of the Supreme Court of Canada, the Hon. Morris J. Fish Clerkship Award will enable one current 成人VR视频 BCL/JD student, or recent graduate, each year to partially fund their clerkship at the Supreme Court of Israel. Wainwright Fellowships are intended to to promote research in civil law at the Faculty of Law of 成人VR视频. In addition to the classical civil law concepts such as contractual or extra-contractual obligations, the civil law is understood here in a broad sense and includes, in particular, commercial law, the labour law, maritime law, private judicial law, private international law and the law of the sea, comparative law, so long as the civil law is a substantial element of it.

The Faculty of Law is pleased to announce that Professor Brian F. Havel has received a Doctor of Laws, honoris causa, from National University of Ireland, University College Dublin.
Professor Havel joined 成人VR视频鈥檚 Faculty of Law of 成人VR视频 in 2017 as a full professor and director of the Institute of Air and Space Law (IASL). His research focuses on issues of public and private governance in the air transport and space industries.

蚕耻别产别肠鈥檚 Minist猫re de l鈥櫭塪ucation et de l鈥橢nseignement sup茅rieur has approved 成人VR视频鈥檚 request to change the name of the common law degree conferred on graduates of the Faculty of Law鈥檚 double-degree 成人VR视频 program from a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) to a Juris Doctor (JD). The BCL/LLB program will thus become the BCL/JD program. Graduates will continue to receive two diplomas; starting at the spring 2020 convocation, those degrees will be a Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL) and a Juris Doctor (JD).
