It is with great sadness that we聽announce the passing of Professor Kenneth Gilbert on April 16, 2020.
A world-famous harpsichordist and scholar 鈥 and the founder of the Early Music Program at 成人VR视频 鈥 Prof. Gilbert maintained a long and distinguished association with our faculty as a professor from 1964 to 1972 and then again as an Adjunct Professor from 1999 to 2015; he was awarded an honorary doctorate from 成人VR视频 in 1981.

On the occasion of World Hearing Day, the Schulich School of Music of 成人VR视频 and the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Music Media and Technology (CIRMMT) are pleased to announce the launch of their Hearing Care Platform (HCP). In this interview, Prof. Grew discusses how his passion for French art and music first developed out of his affinity for the Normandy area of France, as well as how French Classical organs faciliate the production of true characteristic sound.
The 2020 have been announced, and we are thrilled to see so many Schulich faculty, students, and alumni represented! From Vocal Jazz Album of the year to various Classical Albums of the Year, the Schulich community has appeared in six different award categories. Congratulations to all, and we are so proud of all of the achievements our faculty, students, and alumni continue to accomplish each year.
This Sunday, February 9, three Schulich vocalists gave outstanding performances to a packed house for the final round of the Wirth Vocal Prize in Pollack Hall. Deliberations took place immediately afterwards, and at the end of the afternoon, judges announced Jenny Ivanovna as the competition winner. Accompanied by collaborative pianist Jennifer Szeto presented a captivating program featuring works by Ruperto Chapi, Xavier Montsalvatge, Manuel de Falla, Felix Mendelssohn, L茅o Delibes, Francis Poulenc, and Gioachino Rossini.
