Travel Grant 

The CRCF Graduate Student Travel Grants are competitive grants designed to support graduate student travel expenses for MSW (thesis option) and PhD students, and postdoctoral fellows for the purposes of disseminating research (conference and talk), data collection, and training. Priority will be given to students who are presenting to a conference. The competition runs once a year, with a deadline of June 1 to support students travelling to a conference in the following 12 months. You must apply for the grant prior to traveling. CRCF Graduate Student Travel grants will be distributed as an expense reimbursement up to a maximum of $500.

RBC Fellowship Grant 

The RBC Fellowship Grant is supported by a gift from the Royal Bank of Canada foundation to support the ³ÉÈËVRÊÓÆµ Centre for Research on Children and Families’ Children’s Services Research and Training Program. The goal of this grant is to foster collaboration between community professionals and CRCF faculty members, and to offer students research internship and training opportunities. Grants will be a maximum of $5,000 to use towards hiring a student. Successful applicants will be asked to either produce a CRCF infographic sheet or present a CRCF research seminar.

Submit a summary of the proposed project (Idea/Question, Methodology, Feasibility) with information on the student who will be hired, by email to Delphine.collin-vezina [at] mcgill.ca (Delphine Collin-Vézina).

Application deadline is Tuesday, June 30th 2026.

We are ask successful applicants to recognize the funding received from the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) in the following ways:

  1. Verbally acknowledge RBC funding support in presentations at conferences and workshops.
  2. Include a written statement of RBC funding support in conference or workshop materials.
  3. Include a written statement of RBC funding support on any written reports.
