Visiting Staff

Professors are encouraged to work and collaborate with academics from other universities around the world.

There are generally听three types of Visiting Staff at 成人VR视频:

  • Visiting Fellow: Person holding a post-graduate fellowship or other award, conferred by another institution or agency other than 成人VR视频, who is invited to pursue research and scholarly activities, for a limited duration, within an academic unit of the University.
  • Visiting Professor: Person holding a ranked academic appointment or its equivalent in another academic institution, and who is invited to pursue research and scholarly activities and/or engage in teaching, for a limited duration, within an academic unit of the University.
  • Visiting Scholar: Person who holds a recognized professional or scholarly designation with another academic institution, governmental, corporate or related agency, who is invited to pursue research and scholarly activities and/or engage in teaching, for a limited duration within an academic unit of the University.

How to become an Academic Visitor at 成人VR视频?

1. A 成人VR视频 Faculty Member must accept to host the Visiting Staff for a specific project and/or research for a set period of time.

2. The Faculty Member must obtain approval from the Chair of the Department of Integrated Studies in Education.

3. It is highly recommended that the听Visiting Staff completes and provides the Faculty Member with the following documents at least six (6) months prior to the anticipated start date. All documents must be in English or French.

  • Complete Part 1 of the Request form for Visiting Staff
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Employment Verification Letter
  • Copy of passport
  • Proof of funding (where applicable)

4. The Faculty Member prepares an offer letter for the Departmental Chair鈥檚 approval. Please note, only after the Chair of the Department has approved the request will a letter be sent to the applicant.

Note:
When applicable, the offer letter can be prepared in advance and sent to the Visiting Staff to help him/her obtain the听applicable proof of funding. The Visiting Staff must be aware that without proof of funding, however, the process cannot continue.

5. Sign and return the offer letter to the Department.听


If the Visiting Staff is not a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or does not hold a valid work permit, he/she is responsible for starting, following up and completing process to obtain the applicable permit to come to Canada.

Please, do not make any travel arrangements, nor should you apply for any visa or work permit until advised by the Department. 听


Additional Information:

For those requiring a work permit: before an Offer of Employment ID is issued, the Visiting Staff needs to research how the process works for his/her country and what he/she will have to do. Once the Visiting Staff has completed the above and all documentation is gathered, we will create the Offer of employment ID you will need.
