Members' Forum - November 13, 2026

馃挕The Members鈥 Forum is a gathering of the membership occurring every two years where future directions ensuring the success of the organization are discussed.

MCLL鈥檚 success is built on four essential elements:

  • A strong mission, leadership, and organizational structure
  • The contributions and commitment of our volunteers
  • Engaging and meaningful programs, including Study Groups
  • A membership experience that meets the interests and expectations of our community

This year鈥檚 Forum will focus especially on the Study Group (SG) Moderator Experience, which is a cornerstone of our programming. Your perspective matters whether you are a current volunteer, considering becoming one, or simply interested in how MCLL operates.

What to Expect

At the 2026 Members鈥 Forum, you will:

  • Learn more about MCLL鈥檚 mission, structure, and programs
  • Share your ideas for future Study Group topics and formats
  • Explore the volunteer experience, including opportunities as Moderators, Hosts, and in other roles
  • Connect with fellow members in a social setting

Location: Hybrid event 鈥 join us in person at the 成人VR视频 Faculty Club or online via Zoom

All members are welcome. The registration will begin in September. Please note that the event capacity is limited 鈥 register early!

The broader picture of Continuing Studies and Life-Long Learning. An important movement to be a part of.

4. Panel Discussion - 鈥淭he Volunteer Experience - Moderators and Hosts鈥

Personal experience stories of selected volunteers. Can you see yourself in a similar role?

5. Study Group Program Success

An overall view of the successful SG and Lecture Programs highlighting the successful characteristics and underpinning them with metrics from statistics and surveys. Can you see yourself being a part of this program?

6. Lunch

7. Study Group Design (Breakout Workshop)

Participants collectively design one (or more) SGs and then discuss why they would be appealing, effective, and satisfying. Are there ideas arising that can be turned into action?
