Class representatives organize their class reunions, ideally held every five years. Class reunions, as you may have experienced, enable you to renew old friendships, celebrate life accomplishments and adventures, and get reacquainted with your alma mater.
Each class must take responsibility for their own class reunion event(s). Interested but concerned about the time it takes? A member of our University Advancement team will be there to guide you. Plus, you can decide to create a class reunion committee, to divvy-up the work.
Planning your reunion is rewarding and relatively simple. We ask that you hold it during Homecoming Celebration Weekend (in the early fall every year), as there are many events organized for alumni at that time.
Main planning components are:
- Determine the date, location, price, menu, etc.
- Invite classmates and follow-up with emails, calls and social media (if desired).
- Organize & donate to the class gift.
- Solicit classmates for support to the class gift.
