The Department of Pharmacology & Therapeutics is聽fundraising for an important initiative,聽The Melville Undergraduate Research Bursary in Pharmacology, in honour of former chair, Dr. Kenneth Melville.
In the spirit of Dr. Melville鈥檚 legacy, the Department of Pharmacology & Therapeutics established an Undergraduate Research Bursary that will provide funding for a paid summer research internship to an undergraduate student from an聽underrepresented equity group. The supervising professor and the Faculty of Medicine鈥檚 Social Accountability and Community Engagement Office will provide a formal mentorship program for the student. This research experience combined with mentorship will increase the students' competitiveness for careers in science.聽
