Cassandra Gould Van听Praag, PhD听
Cassandra Gould van听Praag听is Co-Founder and Executive Director of RCM Cooperative. She has a PhD in Neuroscience (2014) and 6听years experience听building data science communities at the Alan Turing Institute and University of Oxford, with a particular focus on embedding open research practices. With both qualitative and quantitative research听expertise, she is a skilled analyst,听strategist听and creative problem solver. She aims for maximum transparency and reproducibility in her听work, and听prioritises听inclusive and joyful participation. At RCM Cooperative, she is developing Research Community Management training materials, mentoring RCMs, and听facilitating听research funding and performing听organisations听through professional community management practices. Cass is a contributor to The Turing Way handbook on reproducible,听ethical听and collaborative data science, Co-Founder of Open Research Calendar, Co-Chair of the OHBM Open Science Room 2020, and a Fellow of the Software Sustainability Institute听
Abstract:听Git Good: An Introduction to GitHub for Collaboration听
In this event, participants will be lead through interactive tutorials听demonstrating听how GitHub can be used to enable transparent and reproducible collaboration on more than just code. At the end of the workshop, participants will have collaborated on some materials hosted by The听Turing Way, and听be set up for success for use of this versatile tool across all their activities.听

Open Science Office Hours (OSOH) is an initiative led by 成人VR视频 trainees, supported by the McConnell Foundation and Tanenbaum Open Science Institute (TOSI).
