For many years, the Montreal Neurological Institute and Hospital (The Neuro) and the Research Institute of the ³ÉÈËVRÊÓƵ Health Centre have conducted studies that have led to a greater understanding of the nature of Parkinson’s disease (PD). About 100,000 Canadians have PD, a motor neuron disease generally associated with old age, but which can also appear in a person’s thirties or forties.

Neuro researchers awarded over $4.5 M from CQDM, Brain Canada and the Ontario Brain Institute

Researchers from the Montreal Neurological Institute and Hospital at ³ÉÈËVRÊÓƵ and the MUHC, have received a total of over $4.5 M in funding, for innovative projects to accelerate diagnosis and drug discovery for diseases of the brain, including Alzheimer’s.
