Come celebrate National Pollinator Week!

The Office of Student Academic Services in collaboration with the Sonia Bujold Initiative and Let鈥檚 Talk Science, has put together a lovely聽free online booklet of self-paced activities on pollinators.

Pollinators such as bees, bats, birds, butterflies, and beetles do us an invaluable service. They are just as important as the warmth of the sunlight, the nutrients in the soil, and the purity of the water, for they help to pollinate over 75% of the world's flowering plants! Learn to identify different native pollinators and plants. Get tips for planting a pollinator-friendly garden, do arts, play games and much more. There is something for everyone to enjoy!

  • For children and adults of all ages.
  • The activity booklet is available in both French and English.
  • to receive your booklet on Friday June 14.
  • For questions or additional information, please contact聽ingrid.chiraz [at] mcgill.ca.
  • Registrations will be accepted through June 13.

was initiated and is managed by Pollinator Partnership, and fourteen years ago the U.S. Senate鈥檚 unanimous approval and designation of a week in June as 鈥淣ational Pollinator Week鈥 marked a necessary step toward addressing the urgent issue of declining pollinator populations.

Pollinator Week has now grown into an international celebration, promoting the valuable ecosystem services provided by bees, birds, butterflies, bats, beetles, moths, wasps, and flies.
