It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Paul Campbell Noble at the age of 83 on Saturday, March 5, 2022, in his beloved Montreal.

A dedicated husband, father, teacher, scholar, a committed citizen, and a man of faith, Paul鈥檚 was an example of a life lived humbly and authentically.

He will always be remembered for his selflessness, open heart, intelligence, and the twinkle of his blue eyes.

His love for family, close and extended, and friends, near and far, was deep and abiding. He was born in Montreal to Mary Edna (n茅e Campbell) and Paul Howard Noble. He enjoyed a strong bond with his siblings, Ann (Jim) Beasant and the late Brien (Carolyne) Noble. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 59 years, Sheilah (n茅e Marien), his five sons, Paul (Isabelle), Peter (Claudia), Patrick (Cristina), Michael (Shuli) and Mark (Larissa), and his seven grandchildren, Luke, Shirah, Liam, Christian, Noah, Naomi and Emily.

A graduate of Loyola High School and College, he was inducted into the Loyola Hall of Merit in 2016 for his 鈥渟ervice to others.鈥 He went on to complete his PhD at 成人VR视频 and post-graduate research at Harvard University.

During a career of almost 40 years as a professor of Political Science at 成人VR视频, Paul made a wide range of contributions to the study of the Middle East and its international relations. Apart from his role as teacher and mentor, Paul co-founded the first and largest Middle East studies program in Canada and served as its Chairman for over two decades.

Thanks to the incredible staff at the Jewish General Hospital in Montreal and Dr. Craig Baldry for making his final days more comfortable.

The visitation will take place on Friday, June 10, 2022, from 7-9 pm at St. Ignatius of Loyola Church, 4455 West Broadway, Montreal. The funeral mass will be celebrated the next day, Saturday, June 11, at 11 am, also at St Ignatius Church, followed by a reception at 2 pm at Loyola HiG School Atrium, 7272 Sherbrooke St. W., Montreal.
