Mandate
- The RCN Quality Council is an advisory committee that makes recommendations to the RCN Executive Committee with respect to RCN projects and RCN funding programs.
- Chaired by the RCN鈥檚 Clinical Lead, Dr. Aprikian, the QC brings together expert stakeholders from the cancer care missions of each hospital and is composed of oncologists, nurses, quality of care professionals and patient representatives.
- Currently, the QC has been mandated to oversee and advise on the RCN鈥檚 Cancer Registry project and the QI2 Funding Program. The RCN Cancer Registry program aims to improve cancer registry completeness, expand the scope of data collected and create a global RCN Cancer Registry. The QI2 Funding Program aims to provide hospital staff with funding and project management resources to promote continuous improvement projects related to cancer care quality.
