Sylvan Adams聽is an聽Israeli-Canadian who has dedicated his life to the advancement of聽science and medicine, education and nonprofit work,聽business, technology and culture,聽arts and sports. He served for 25 years as the president and CEO of Iberville Developments, a Canadian real-estate company聽founded by his father,聽Marcel Adams.
In 2009, Adams聽established聽the Margaret and Sylvan Adams Family Foundation, which supports educational and medical projects in Canada and Israel. His passion for sport and exercise spans from聽commuting and recreation聽to high performance sport. He donated a sum聽towards聽the development of the Sylvan Adams Commuter Path in Tel Aviv, allowing people to cycle to and from their聽destinations safely. He is also the co-owner聽of the Israel Cycling Academy, founded in 2015. In May 2018, Adams also聽established the first ever velodrome in the Middle East, in Israel.
In addition to his philanthropic activities, Adams is an avid cyclist. In 2017 he was the Masters World Champion, and on several occasions has been crowned聽world time-trial champion.聽
In recent years, Adams made Aliyah from Montreal to Tel Aviv, where he currently resides. He continues his philanthropic work and is passionate about showcasing everything聽Israel has to offer. He is committed聽to聽strengthening the connection between his two home countries, Israel and Canada, through partnerships and collaboration.聽
