Each event in this series features two HBHL faculty recruits whose research areas provide an interesting contrast or intersection for discussion.

Headshot portrait of Nicolas TritschNicolas Tritsch, PhD

Dr. Tritsch is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the Douglas Research Centre and 成人VR视频. After graduating from 成人VR视频 with a聽BSc in immunology and an MSc in neuroscience, he obtained a PhD in neuroscience from Johns Hopkins University, completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School, and began his independent career at the New York University Grossman School of Medicine, where he explored how dopamine modulates the activity of brain circuits that control voluntary movements in health and disease. His laboratory relocated to the Douglas Research Centre in 2024, with the goal of deepening our understanding of neuromodulatory signalling in mental health disorders. Dr. Tritsch鈥檚 research uses a variety of optical, genetic and physiological approaches in rodents to reveal how the mammalian brain learns and motivates action.聽
