Cardiac electrophysiology (heart rhythm disturbances)
Interventional solutions for treating arrhythmias, such as pacemaker or defibrillator implantation, or catheter ablation
I am a cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist (specialist in heart rhythm disturbances). My research focuses on heart rhythm disturbances called arrhythmias. In particular, I have an interest in interventional solutions for treating arrhythmias, such as pacemaker or defibrillator implantation, or catheter ablation. I am currently involved in several clinical trials on new techniques and technologies for catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia. I also work in a translational lab where we evaluate new ablation technologies such as pulsed field ablation, ultra-low temperature cryoablation, and needle ablation.Â
