Dr. Evan Wong completed his Medical Degree and General Surgery residency at 成人VR视频 in Montreal, Quebec. During residency, he earned a Masters of Public Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore, Maryland, where he specialized in Epidemiology & Biostatistics and published extensively on access to trauma and surgical care in low-resource settings. After completion of his residency program, he then pursued subspecialty training in Critical Care Medicine at 成人VR视频 prior to returning to Johns Hopkins University to complete a Trauma and Acute Care Surgery Fellowship.

Dr. Wong is cross-appointed at the Jewish General Hospital and the 成人VR视频 Health Centre, as well as across the Departments of Surgery and Critical Care Medicine. He is certified by the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada in General Surgery and Critical Care Medicine and by the American Board of Surgery in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. Dr. Wong is an active Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada and a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery. He sits on committees of the Canadian Association of General Surgeons as well as the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma. He holds specialist certificates from the Coll猫ge des M茅decins du Qu茅bec in General Surgery and Critical Care Medicine as well as an unrestricted Medical License from the Maryland Board of Physicians.

Dr. Wong is active in Undergraduate and Postgraduate Education, in both General Surgery and Critical Care Medicine. He is the current lead for Injury Prevention at the MUHC. He holds surgical privileges at the Ungava Tulattavik Health Center in Kuujjuaq, Quebec, as well as at the Inuulitsivik Health Centre in Puvirnituq, Quebec. As such, he has been appointed the lead for Trauma and General Surgery services in Nunavik and focuses on building patient-centered care pathways, quality improvement initiatives and healthcare professional education programs in conjunction with the local communities. His research interests focus on these goals, notably disparities in access to care, trauma systems and patient-centered outcomes.
