Employees paid bi-weekly on Fridays
The Friday pay date covers the current week and previous week. For example, the pay date of Friday, May 17, 2024 covers parking for the period of May 5 to May 18, 2024. Entering a suspension date of May 17, 2024 would result in the permit being deactivated as of May 18, 2024. The last parking deduction would be on the pay of May 17, 2024. Employees paid bi-weekly on Thursdays
The Thursday pay date covers a two week period two weeks prior to the pay date. For example, the pay date of Thursday, May 23, 2024 covers parking for the period of April 28 to May 11, 2024. Entering a suspension date of May 10, 2024 would result in the permit being deactivated as of May 11, 2024. The last parking deduction would be on the pay of May 23, 2024. Parking privileges cannot be suspended retroactively. The date you indicate on the form is subject to deadlines set by Payroll Services. If the deadline is missed, the deductions will be suspended for the next pay period. If possible, please try to submit this form one month before the date you wish to suspend.
Shortly before your return to work, please contact the Parking and Transportation Services office to arrange reactivation of your permit and recommencement of payroll deductions. You will be issued a permit for the same location you had parked in prior to your leave unless this area is no longer available (for example, if there is a temporary or permanent closure due to construction), in which case you'd be given parking in another location. If parking rates increase during your leave, the new rates will apply upon your return.
Please contact our office by email or phone at (514) 398-4559 if you require additional information.
A copy of the submitted form will be sent to the email address you've indicate on the form.
