STimulated Emission Depletion (STED) Microscopy

Ìý

This imaging technique allows researchers to achieve resolutionÌýbelow the diffraction limit of light (about 200nm). ThisÌýworks by selectively deactivating fluorophores, resulting in only a very small area of illumination at the focal point.
