12:30 - 1:30 PM:ÌýÌýThis bi-weekly in-person discussion series offers a safe and supportive space for women, including those from diverse cultural and international backgrounds.

5:30 - 6:30 PM:ÌýÌýwith the MSA. This class is designed for students at a beginner to intermediate level. If you can read Arabic, this course is perfect for you. We will explore key Tajweed rules. Location: SSMU 436

6:00 - 9:00 PM:ÌýÌýJoin the MSA for an evening focused on reflecting on the names of Allah - a chance to slow down, reflect and reconnect by understanding who Allah is through His Beautiful Names.

5:00-6:30 PM:Ìý³ÉÈËVRÊÓÆµ International Holocaust Remembrance Day Commemorative LectureÌý(organized by the Office of the Dean of Students) Professor Aliza Luft will share her research on the Holocaust in France in a lecture titled “Between God and Vichy: Religion, Race, and the Holocaust in France." She examines the fluctuating relationships between social identity, ideology, and interpersonal, socio-political action in contexts marked by war and violence.

4:00 PM - 5:00 PM:ÌýÌýwith the MSA. This semester, join us in memorizing Surah As-Sajdah! Already memorized it before? You’re still very welcome - this class is also open to those looking to revise and strengthen their recitation.

4:30-6:00 PM:ÌýQuebec City Mosque Attack Commemorative Lecture, "Impacts of Islamophobia on Muslim Mental Health"ÌýBy Dr. Salam El-Majzoub. Her research interests have focused on the mental health needs of marginalized cultural communities and culturally appropriate public health measures, clinical care and training. 1:00-6:00 PM:ÌýÌýThe Getting to Know One Another Expo Fair is a flagship event of Muslim Awareness Week, designed as a lively space for discovery, dialogue, and connection. Open to all, the fair will host nearly a dozen booths featuring a wide range of initiatives: community organizations, artists, artisans, vendors, cultural products, food, jewelry, clothing, henna art, children’s face painting, and more.

7:30 AM - 6:00 PM:ÌýÌýSpend an exhilarating, fun-filled day with us at Ski Bromont. Whether you’re a first time skier or a seasoned snowboarder, unforgettable memories await you at one of Quebec’s finest ski resorts!

11:00 AM-12:00 PM:ÌýAs part of Muslim Awareness Week, SSM will take part in the February 1st service at St. James United Church, in a spirit of respect, dialogue, and interfaith connection. The gathering will be led by Reverend Paula Kline and will include a moment of reflection, a statement from SSM, and a symbolic candle‑lighting, representing remembrance, solidarity, and commitment to living together in dignity.
