Alberta
Eligibility
- Students must be registered with a minimum 60% course load (9 credits).
- Students with a permanent disability must be registered with a minimum 40% course load (6 credits).
- No funding is available for programs less than 12 weeks in duration, unless the summer term is part of a program that is longer than 12 weeks, such as a 4-year degree program, students may apply.
- If the study period is shorter than 12 weeks students may only receive provincial funding.
How to apply
Students complete:
- a Change of Circumstance Form (成人VR视频鈥檚 Scholarship and Student Aid聽will confirm full time status and tuition costs for the summer courses);
- an online application for the summer term.
Deadline: 30 days prior to the end of the student鈥檚 specific study period (not 成人VR视频鈥檚 official end of summer term, which is August 30).
British Columbia
Eligibility
- Students must be registered with a minimum 60% course load (9 credits).
- Students with a permanent disability must be registered with a minimum 40% course load (6 credits).
- Any time lapse between courses cannot be longer than 2 consecutive weeks.
How to Apply
Students who previously applied for fall and winter terms OR winter term only:
- If the summer term is less than 12 weeks, students must complete both:
- , and
- as follows:
- Section 1: questions 1, 2, 12, 13, 17, 18;
- Section 3: the entire study period including tuition for the fall, winter and summer terms must be reported - questions 41 and 42 (enter the program information and any information that may have changed);
- Section 6: declaration (completed and signed) to extend the original study period from September or January to the summer month (e.g., July or August).
- If the summer term is 12 weeks or more, students must complete electronically.
Students applying for the summer term only (with no application for fall/winter) must complete an electronic summer application:
- : enter the study period and the program costs for the summer term only. If a student was not on government aid in the winter term a new summer application is required.
Deadline: Applications and supporting documents for all cases must be received 6 weeks prior to the end of the student鈥檚 specific study period (not 成人VR视频鈥檚 official end of summer term, which is August 30). It is the student鈥檚 responsibility to send all documents to BC Aid by the deadline.

Manitoba
Eligibility
- Study periods 6-8 weeks long: students must be registered with a minimum of 60% course load (6聽credits as opposed to 9 credits) to be considered as FT (Full-time) students, and Students with a permanent disability (disability needs to be verified by MSA -Manitoba Student Aid) must be registered with course load equivalent to 40% or more.
- Study periods 9-12 weeks long: students must be registered with a minimum 60% course load (9 credits) and Students with a permanent disability (disability needs to be verified by MSA -Manitoba Student Aid) must be registered with a minimum 40% course load (6 credits).
- For part-time studies, students must download the part-time paper application available on the Manitoba Student Aid website
How to apply
- Students apply online. It will take about 1-2 weeks to process the application assessment. Applications are available in March.
- Students submit the application to Manitoba Student Aid for processing.
- Confirmation of Enrolment is completed on the portal by the 成人VR视频 Scholarships and Student Aid.
Deadline: Application and supporting documents must be received by Manitoba Student Aid no later than 45 days before your study period ends (not 成人VR视频鈥檚 end of summer term).
New Brunswick
Eligibility
- May 鈥 June Intersession: Students must be enrolled in 2 courses to be considered full-time (6 credits or 40% course load).
- July 鈥 August Summer Session: Students must be enrolled in 2 courses to be considered full-time (6 credits or 40% course load).
- Intersession and Summer session (May to August): Students must be enrolled in 3 courses to be considered full-time (9 credits or 60% course load).
- Students with a permanent disability must be registered with a 40% course load (6 credits).
- The study period must be a minimum of 6 weeks in length.

- Students complete a regular online application.
- Confirmation of Enrolment is completed on the portal by the 成人VR视频聽Scholarships and Student Aid.

Newfoundland
Eligibility
- Students must be registered with a minimum 80% course load (12 credits) for provincial funding and 60% course load (9 credits) for federal funding.
- Students with a permanent disability must be registered with a 40% course load (6 credits).
- Summer term study period must be at least 6 consecutive weeks in length.
How to apply
- Students submit a supplementary application form (available on the NFLD website) prior to the start of the summer semester only if they have received assistance for the fall and/or winter terms.
- Confirmation of Enrolment is completed on the portal by the 成人VR视频聽Scholarships and Student Aid.
Deadlines:
- For summer studies 12 weeks or more in length, the deadline is 8 weeks after the first day of the student鈥檚 specific summer study period (not 成人VR视频鈥檚 official start of summer term, which is May 1).
- For summer studies less than 12 weeks in length, the deadline is 2 weeks after the first day of the student鈥檚 specific summer study period (not 成人VR视频鈥檚 official start of summer term, which is May 1).
Northwest Territories
Eligibility
- Students must be registered with a minimum 60% course load (9 credits).
- Students with a permanent disability must be registered with a minimum 40% course load (6 credits).
- Students who were enrolled and received full-time funding during the fall and/or winter terms, may register for a summer term that is less than 12 weeks in length and submit a new application for the summer.
- Students who did not receive funding during the winter semester, must register for a summer term that is at least 12 consecutive weeks in length and submit a new application for the summer.
How to apply
Students submit Form D 鈥 Student Enrolment Form (SEF) for the summer semester. They must then forward this document to the Ministry for processing or the Scholarships and Student Aid staff may fax it to the Ministry.
Deadline: SEFs may be completed up to one calendar month prior to the start date of the student鈥檚 specific summer semester (not 成人VR视频鈥檚 official start of summer term, which is May 1).
Nova Scotia
Eligibility

Students can apply for funding to attend full-time summer courses for a period as short as 6 weeks, even if they did not receive government aid in the previous fall/winter terms.
Students must be registered in a degree/diploma program of study that requires a minimum of 6 weeks of full-time study (for all study periods combined).
- Students must be a full-time student (as defined below) for 6 continuous weeks or longer during the May to August time period:
- May 鈥 August: minimum of 1.5 credits or 1 credit if they are a student with a permanent disability during the summer term
- May 鈥 June only: minimum of 1 credit or 0.5 credit if they are a student with a permanent disability
- July 鈥 August only: minimum of 1 credit or 0.5 credit if they are a student with a permanent disability
- Condensed (3-week) courses count toward full-time study if the student is taking two or more consecutive courses for a total of 6 or more weeks of continuous full-time study.
- Students who do not meet these conditions are considered to be part-time and should apply for a part-time loan.
Assessment rules
- If a student was full-time during the winter term, the pre-study period is 鈥0鈥 weeks long.
- If a student was NOT full-time during the winter term, the pre-study period is 鈥18鈥 weeks long.
Program length considerations
- Courses taken during a summer term count toward a student鈥檚 total allowable program length funding if the student studies full-time for 12 weeks or longer between May and August.
- Shorter study periods do not count toward program length funding limits for students on Nova Scotia Student Aid.
How to apply
All students use the same online application for any full-time study period:
- Log into MyPATH and choose "Intersession Funding".
- Students must submit a Pre-Study Report when the link becomes available inside the secure login area (immediately after their first day of classes). If the student is eligible, the Pre-Study Report is required before Nova Scotia Student Aid can finalize and deposit the Nova Scotia Student Loan or Grant funding.
Deadline: At least 6 weeks prior to the end of the student鈥檚 specific summer term (not 成人VR视频鈥檚 official end of summer term which is August 30).
Ontario
Eligibility
- Students must be registered with a minimum 60% course load (9 credits).
- Students with a permanent disability must be registered with a 40% course load (6 credits).
- If a student received government aid in the fall and/or winter terms, the duration of the combined period of study must be at least 12 weeks in length.
- If a student did not receive government aid in the fall and/or winter terms and is applying for summer funding only for the same academic year, then that student must be registered for a minimum of 12 weeks and submit an online application.
How to apply
- Students complete an OSAP 成人VR视频 Summer Extension Form. Students are required to email student.aid [at] mcgill.ca to request a copy of the OSAP 成人VR视频 Summer Extension Form. Once the form is completed and signed by the student and returned to student.aid [at] mcgill.ca,聽our Office will forward it to the Ministry. Please use 鈥OSAP 成人VR视频 Summer Extension Form鈥 in the email subject line.
- Students聽are required to include their total gross income (from all sources)聽that is expected to be received during the summer extension period.
Deadline: Applications must be received no later than 60 days before the end of the student鈥檚 specific study period (not 成人VR视频鈥檚 official end of summer term, which is August 30). Supporting documents must be submitted 40 days before the end of the student鈥檚 specific study period.
Important: If a student submits an online application for the summer semester, instead of applying for an extension through our office, they must submit a letter to OSAP requesting a cancellation of their application, and complete the Extension Form through our office (the letter and Extension Form will be sent together to the Ministry by 成人VR视频鈥檚 Scholarships and Student Aid).
PEI
Eligibility
- Students must be registered with a minimum 60% course load (9 credits) and for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks.
- Students registered for less than 60% course load OR less than 12 weeks of study can apply for part-time loans. Part-time applications must be completed and received at least three (3) weeks before the course ends. Any applications received after this date will not be processed.
- Students with a permanent disability must be registered with a minimum 40% course load (6 credits) and for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks.
How to apply
Students must:
- complete a full-time application form online;
- complete and submit to the Ministry the Declaration and Tax Consent Form (if PEI has already received the current tax consent, students will NOT be prompted for a new one);
- submit to the Ministry the Academic Information Sheet (completed by 成人VR视频鈥檚 Scholarships and Student Aid).
For part-time loans, students apply using paper applications available on the PEI government aid website.
Deadline: 6 weeks prior to the end of the student鈥檚 specific study period (not 成人VR视频鈥檚 official end of summer term, which is August 30).
Saskatchewan
Eligibility
- Students must be registered with a minimum 60% course load (9 credits).
- Students with a permanent disability must be registered with a 40% course load (6 credits).
How to apply
- For courses running 6 weeks or more, students submit the regular online application, and a Student Loan Program Information Form Revised (completed by the student and signed off by 成人VR视频鈥檚 Scholarships and Student Aid聽staff).
- For courses running no more than 5 weeks, students complete the Program Information Form.
- Students can begin to apply in March when the application for summer becomes available.
Deadline: At least 8 weeks prior to the end of the student鈥檚 specific summer term (not 成人VR视频鈥檚 official end of summer term, which is August 30).
Yukon
Eligibility
- Students must be registered with a minimum 60% of a full course load (9 credits or whatever the institution considers to be full-time).
- Students with a permanent disability must be registered with a minimum 40% of a full course load (6 credits or whatever the institution considers to be full-time).
- Programs of study must meet the designation criteria of their jurisdiction (non-designated programs cannot be funded).
- If a student received government aid in the winter term they can choose to extend that application and add a new study end date.
- If a student is not receiving government aid for the winter term they can submit a new application for summer.
How to Apply
- A Proof of Enrolment (paper form) with a new end date must be provided to Student Financial Assistance.
- Students must inform Yukon Student Aid of their extension in order to receive summer funding.
Deadline: No deadline for summer extension to studies providing all documents are submitted and negotiated prior to the end of the student鈥檚 specific study period (not 成人VR视频鈥檚 official end of the summer term, which is August 30).
