Spiritual Formation in the Wild: A School of Global Citizenry Experience
MORSL is pleased to partner with the听听to offer a special intensive course designed to听guide听students听to connect with wild nature as听a part听of their spiritual formation journey.听Using as a base听an听online curriculum called听Spiritual Formation in the Wild, developed by teacher and wilderness guide Aram Mitchell, MORSL is听accompanying听a student cohort through the three core modules that include short videos, grounding exercises, readings, and outdoor activities. Through the materials, students听will survey the many benefits鈥痑nd methods of听nature听connection as they deepen their own relationship with the natural world.鈥疘n addition to exploring the online materials, the MORSL student cohort experience offers a community of 成人VR视频 students who are journeying together,听reflecting听and growing new connections. Each day will include:听
- Introduction to a theme听
- Poem or reading to contextualize the theme听
- Short videos presenting perspectives from various thinkers听
- Journaling听
- Outdoor activity听
- Reflection discussion听
- Closing meditation (approx. 5 minutes)听
- Snacks
- This course听includes materials听delivered online听(video, audio, discussion听board). Students will have the opportunity to engage with materials asynchronously throughout the program.听听
Eligibility requirements for bursary:听听
Students who register may be eligible for an award听of $125 CAD听to offset the听program听registration fee if they meet鈥�all鈥痮f鈥痶he following criteria*:鈥�听
- Register鈥痸ia鈥痬yInvolvement鈥痜or this event and receive confirmation听from鈥疢ORSL,鈥痷sing your鈥�成人VR视频鈥痵tudent email.听
- Be currently registered for at least one 3-credit course.
- Have direct deposit set up in your student account to receive the MORSL award.听
- Register and pay for the听program听via the鈥痟ost website鈥痓y March 2. Host website is:听听
- Meet听all听the participation requirements, including:
- Attend all 3 sessions (in person or online attendance听required)听
- Complete the 3 writing activities (short responses to discussion prompts听each day)听
- Produce a final reflection piece (short essay, photo collage, poem, art, etc.)听听
*Note that the award is only granted after program听completion, if听all听condition听are听met.听听
